We at the Paul J. Hill School of Business take enormous pride in our Keg-A-Rama event, which is the longest-running university charity event in Canada! With participants ranging from U of R students, students from surrounding universities, business professionals, professors and local firefighters; everyone has a great time raising funds for the Regina Firefighters Burn Unit Fund! This includes a minimum donation of $50 per person or $400 per team. Teams of 8-10 compete in an obstacle course relay for the fastest time, as well as in best costume and top fundraising effort challenges. During the team relay, participants drag an empty keg around campus that proves to test even the most athletic of teams. This year we are kicking it up a notch and the event will be held in the dead of winter! After the excitement of the relay, participants assemble in The Owl for pizza and beer, socializing, dancing and more opportunities to win great team and individual prizes. This year’s Keg-A-Rama will prove to be bigger and better than ever. This event is now celebrating its 46th anniversary, making it the longest running charity event of its kind in Canada! The money raised provides special equipment, furnishings and education for burn victims and their families.
